Julie Chrisley Launches ‘This is My Baby’ Cooking Show After Pardon

Julie Chrisley is embarking on a new solo television venture, a cooking show she emphatically calls “This is My Baby.” This development follows her and husband Todd Chrisley's pardon by President Donald Trump earlier this year, after serving just over two years of their fraud convictions. The couple, known for “Chrisley Knows Best,” recently returned to reality TV with “The Chrisleys: Back to Reality,” but Julie is now focused on her individual project.

Details about the show emerged during a December 17 episode of their “Chrisley Confessions” podcast. Todd revealed that filming for 26 segments is slated to begin in February, also announcing his intention to produce. Julie, however, initially pushed back, stating, “No, no, no, no. I’ve not heard this, and I’ve not agreed to this! This is my baby, it’s not yours,” though she later conceded they could discuss his producing role.

Todd has already conducted research, noting social media comments suggest viewers want segments featuring what Julie cooked during her time “at summer camp” (referring to her incarceration). Julie agreed to incorporate some of these ideas. Regarding the show's overall tone, Julie expressed a desire for authenticity, focusing on “real” dishes made with easily accessible ingredients found in most pantries. She aims to offer a variety of recipes, including ideas for weekly meals and special occasion dishes, ensuring they are simple for everyone to prepare.

This isn't Julie's first foray into culinary television; she previously hosted “What’s Cooking with Julie Chrisley” in 2019, which is still available on Peacock. While the Chrisleys have confirmed the February filming start, they have not yet announced an official air date or the platform where the new show will be available for viewing. The implicit challenge lies in navigating a solo venture after a shared reality career and recent legal issues, alongside the dynamics of Todd's proposed involvement.

Julie's new venture into the culinary world aims to captivate audiences as a unique pop culture cooking show, blending entertainment with delicious recipes.
