RHOBH Stars Targeted: Hilton & Stracke Homes Burglarized During BravoCon
The homes of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” stars Kathy Hilton and Sutton Stracke were burglarized on November 15 while both were attending BravoCon in Las Vegas, highlighting the risks high-profile individuals face when their public appearances signal their absence from home. Kathy Hilton’s spokesperson confirmed a robbery at her California residence, which the Los Angeles Police Department reported at 11:48 p.m. While no suspects have been identified, Hilton’s husband, Rick Hilton, was reportedly home during the incident, and thankfully, “everyone is fine,” according to her spokesperson. Neither Kathy nor Rick has publicly commented on the home invasion.
Concurrently, Sutton Stracke’s home was also targeted. Her dog walker discovered a broken kitchen window around 2 p.m. on the same day and promptly called 911. Police responded and filed a report, though it remains unclear if anything was stolen from Stracke's property. Both women continued to participate in BravoCon events the following day, despite the unsettling news from home. These incidents underscore a recurring vulnerability for reality television stars, as their public engagements can inadvertently signal opportunities for criminals.
This pattern of targeting is not new to the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast. Just months prior, in July, fellow RHOBH star Teddi Mellencamp’s Los Angeles home experienced an attempted burglary. Three intruders jumped her gate, triggering the alarm system, and fled after breaking a side door. Mellencamp and her estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, credited their advanced home security system for scaring off the intruders, emphasizing the critical benefit of robust security measures in deterring such crimes. While shaken, they were unharmed. No arrests have been made in connection with Mellencamp's incident, mirroring the ongoing investigations into the Hilton and Stracke burglaries. These events collectively illustrate the persistent risks of home invasions for public figures, necessitating heightened security awareness and protective systems.
The recent burglaries at the homes of Hilton and Stracke highlight the vulnerabilities that often accompany the lives of a pop culture celebrity.
