American rapper Carlito Milfort, known professionally as POORSTACY, tragically passed away at the age of 26. Based in Palm Beach, Florida, Milfort was a versatile musician whose work spanned hip hop, punk rock, and heavy metal, showcasing a diverse artistic range. His discography included two EPs, “I Don't Care” (2019) and “I Don't Rap” (2020), alongside two full-length albums: his debut, “The Breakfast Club” (2020), and “Party At the Cemetery” (2021).
POORSTACY gained recognition for popular tracks such as “I Can't Sleep,” featuring Iann Dior, “Love Spells,” “Public Enemy,” and “Children of the Dark.” He also collaborated with renowned drummer Travis Barker on two songs, “Nothing Left” and “Hills Have Eyes,” further expanding his reach within the music industry. Notably, Milfort contributed to the soundtrack for the 2020 film “Bill & Ted Face the Music,” which earned a Grammy nomination for best compilation soundtrack for visual media in 2021, highlighting his impact beyond traditional music releases.
Milfort's death occurred in late November 2025, with authorities confirming his passing. He was transported from a Boca Raton hotel to a local hospital on November 29 for a medical emergency, having reportedly been staying at the hotel for ten days with a woman and a toddler. Multiple sources close to the investigation informed TMZ that his death was a suicide, stating he shot himself in his hotel room, initially survived, but later died on December 1 after being removed from life support. However, police have not yet officially confirmed the cause of death. Adding to the complexity, Milfort's family disputes the suicide claim, suspecting foul play in his untimely passing.
