Nia Sioux Reveals Dance Moms Friendships and Abby Lee Miller Boundary

Nia Sioux, a `Dance Moms` alum, recently revealed the current state of her relationships with former castmates, highlighting who she maintains close ties with and who she keeps her distance from. In an October 2025 interview, the 24-year-old shared that her friendship with fellow original cast member Chloé Lukasiak remains strong. Nia frequently connects with Chloé in New York, citing a recent reunion to watch Misty Copeland’s final performance with American Ballet Theatre as an example of their enduring bond. Further solidifying their connection, Chloé penned the foreword for Nia's upcoming memoir, `Bottom of the Pyramid`, which Nia described as “really, really, really special.” Nia also noted that several other cast members have expressed pride and excitement for her endeavors, underscoring a “very special bond” among many of them.

However, not all `Dance Moms` relationships have withstood the test of time or past dynamics. Nia reflected on instances of exclusion during their childhood, particularly being left out of hangouts with figures like Todrick Hall and other YouTubers. She attributes these issues primarily to the adults involved, stating, “I definitely blame the adults in this situation for all of that stuff… kids take after adults, and, unfortunately, the adults just failed them in certain situations.” Despite these past challenges, Nia clarified that she remains friends with a “good amount” of her former teammates, specifically naming Chloé Lukasiak, Maddie Ziegler, Kenzie Ziegler, Brooke Hyland, and Paige Hyland.

A significant boundary for Nia concerns her former dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller. Nia firmly stated, “if people have a relationship with her, I can’t have a relationship with them,” acknowledging that “everyone’s experience is different” regarding Miller. This stance follows public events like JoJo Siwa's recent reunion with Abby Lee Miller on `Access Daily`, where Siwa expressed unwavering respect for Miller. Nia's comments underscore a clear distinction in her approach to maintaining relationships based on her former mentor's role in their lives.
