The teaser for “Summer House” Season 10 ignited a new wave of drama for Kyle Cooke and Amanda Batula, centered around Amanda's claim that Kyle “fell asleep at some fan’s apartment and came home at like 6:30 in the morning.” This allegation, revealed in the December 9 trailer, quickly sparked online speculation and criticism directed at Cooke.
Kyle has since addressed the controversy, speaking to People magazine to clarify the situation. He admitted to staying out “way too late” but vehemently denied sleeping at a fan's residence. According to Cooke, he attended an event that Amanda opted out of, which then moved to a bar and subsequently to an after-party. He explained that he doesn't use stimulants to stay awake and believes he simply “ended up falling asleep on a couch,” waking up around 6 a.m. He expressed regret for the late night but emphasized that his account is “the truth and full extent of what happened.”
The trailer, however, hints that this incident is merely a symptom of deeper marital discord. Kyle is shown expressing feelings of being unsupported, particularly after “the biggest gig of his life,” lamenting that Amanda “couldn’t care less.” Conversely, Amanda voices frustration over Kyle's career choice, which she feels contradicts her desire for him to reduce his late-night partying lifestyle. Their struggles are further highlighted when Kyle identifies issues related to “compatibility, chemistry, [and] intimacy.” The tension escalates to the point where co-star Ciara Miller advises Amanda to consider threatening to leave if Kyle doesn't improve his behavior. Despite these significant challenges and ongoing fan speculation, Kyle and Amanda are confirmed to still be together. “Summer House” Season 10 is set to premiere on February 3.
